Lititz, PA (8/4/2016) - FTR / PR2 / Maxxis / Amped Apparel’s Peyton Zimmerman snagged first overall in Youth All Star at the tenth round of the 2016 AMA ATV Motocross National Championship at RedBud MX in Buchanan, MI. Zimmerman also rode in Schoolboy Sr., where he went 1-2 for second overall.

Zimmerman has been battling bad luck and mechanical issues for the past few rounds and was elated to return to his familiar place on the podium. “It feels great to finally be back on the box again. I haven’t been on the podium since Monster Mountain because my luck just has not been going good the past couple of rounds,” explained Zimmerman.

This weekend however, Zimmerman’s luck, riding, and setup were on point, allowing him to put in impressive motos all weekend long. “I have been feeling good on the track and the bike is working amazing. The Elka suspension, PR2 motor, Maxxis tires, and just everything is flawless. I am pumped on this weekend.”

“First moto of Youth All Star I pulled second or third out of the start and pushed my way to the front. I got a decent lead and rode my race. Second moto, I got second out of the start behind Troy. I knew I had the overall because he had third in the first moto, so I just rode with him all smiles knowing that I had the overall,” said Zimmerman.

In Schoolboy Sr., Zimmerman posted the fastest lap of the race in moto one and took the win. In the second moto, he battled with for the lead but could not quite make a pass. He took second that moto, and finished second overall on the weekend.

After the great rides at Red Bud, Zimmerman’s confidence will be boosted and he will be ready to battle for another win Loretta Lynn’s, which is the amateur season finale in Hurricane Mills, TN on August 13-14.
