JB Racing’s Tim Farr Takes Second Place Finish at Camp Coker GNCC
JB Racing’s GNCC XC1 SxS Race Report

East Springfield, PA (5/3/2016) - JB Racing / Can-Am / Gunk / Houser Racing driver, Tim Farr, scored a runner-up finish at Camp Coker and continues his best early season run on record in the GNCC XC1 Pro SXS Series. Farr now sits fourth in points with his first podium finish of the 2016 campaign.

Tim Farr Can-Am Maverick

JB Racing's Tim Farr claimed a 2nd place finish to score a spot on the podim at the Camp Coker GNCC

Farr ran at a consistent pace, stayed out of trouble and came home second, adding to an already impressive fourth-place finish in the last race.

“We’ve had some bad luck this year, so it was nice to get on the podium,” said Farr. “We set a good pace from the second row. I didn’t think as hard as the front guys were running that they would be able to hold their cars together. I didn’t push it super hard, and the Maverick was great. This should put us up on the front row for the start at the next race.”

Farr switched to Maxxis Tires for the 2016 season. He said it made a difference on the rutted Camp Coker circuit. “The Fox Shocks and the Maxxis Tires were a great combination today,” said Farr. “We went to a bigger tire today because I knew it was going to rut out and that worked. We were still on the belly pan with the tires pulling me through.”

Tim Farr is off to his personal best start to the GNCC season & he is currently 4th place in points, just 2 points out of 2nd place

“It was a challenging track,” added Farr of the inaugural run at the Society Hill, SC race track. “ There was tight, deep muddy stuff and some fast open fields. I was really using the Houser nerf bars a lot today. This track beat this thing up, but it made it through.”

Farr and his JB Racing/Can-Am Maverick will be back in action in just four weeks when the GNCC Series heads Millfield, OH for the John Penton at Sunday Creek Raceway on Memorial Day weekend.
