North Las Vegas, NV (3/2/2015) – Art Works/Goldspeed Tires’ Ty Sanders took on the rough terrain at Canyon MX in Peoria, AZ and claimed a fourth place finish in the Production A class and finished within the top ten in the Pro-am class at round three of the 2015 WORCS series.
Canyon MX is one of the roughest and most technical courses in the WORCS series but Ty Sanders was ready for action in Saturday’s Production A class. Sanders shot off the line and grabbed the holeshot. “My Goldspeed tires hooked up and my quad pulled hard and I got the holeshot,” said Sanders.

Sanders ended up going off course, which caused him to fall to the back of the pack. Sanders pushed hard and made his way back up to the number four spot. From there Sanders began to close in on third place, but ran out of time before he could make a move and settled for a fourth place finish. “Falling back really cost me, but I was able to get back up to fourth and I was closing in on third. I was close and next round I plan to be on the box,” said Sanders.
In the Sunday WORCS Pro-am race, Ty Sanders once again grabbed the holeshot, but his lead was short lived. “My Art Works engine pulled hard and I got the holeshot again but then the radiator cap blew off in the back section, so I took it easy so I wouldn’t blow up the motor and got back to the pits. Shortly after that, we blew another one for no reason. We were down a lap after that but I was able to really make up some time. It wasn’t easy because it was a really tough track with deep sand whoops and lot of rocks, but my FOX suspension handled it really well. Other than that it was a good day and I am happy to have finished. I’m feeling really good about heading to Lake Havasu and I am hoping to be on the podium for that,” said Sanders, who finished in eighth place.
