Tempe, AZ (5/29/2015) - Pro Motorsports’ Matt Hancock claimed a third place finish in the Open A class and fourth in Pro-am at round six of the 2015 WORCS series at Iron Mine Race park in Cedar City, UT, while Jeff Hancock finished fourth in the Pro ATV class.

In Saturday’s Open A class, Matt Hancock was in second off the start and chasing down the leader. “My Maxxis tires hooked up and my Sparks engine ripped off the line,” said Hancock.

Hancock held the number two spot for half of the race before dropping back to third. “At the midway point, I fell back to third and I stayed there the rest of the way. I’m not too happy about finishing third, but I got valuable points and it helped me prepare for the Pro-am race,” said Hancock, who is second in points in the Open a class.

In Sunday’s Pro-am race, Pro Motorsports’ Matt Hancock was in third off the start but in the third corner, Hancock was hit from behind by another rider and the two quads got stuck together, sending Hancock to the back of the pack. “I had a great start and someone came into me and we got hooked up. It took a while to separate us so I was dead last. I got back on though and just put my head down and pushed hard. Some of the slower traffic was tough to deal with and I was pretty bummed because I was ready for this race, but I was able to get back up to fourth,” said Hancock, who is still in second in points despite the setback.

“I always want the win, but that didn’t happen this weekend. I am still happy that I was able to get some decent points. I am going to be training hard over the break and I’m looking forward to the next round and I’m hoping for a win,” said Hancock.

In the Pro ATV class, Jeff Hancock had a solid race and ended is day in the number four spot. “I’ve been doing better each race and I am going to be practicing with Matt over the break so hopefully I can get in the top three. Overall today was really fun. I loved the track and my Maxxis tires and Elka shocks worked great out there,” said Jeff Hancock.

In the SxS Pro class, Matt Hancock had a mid-pack start and was looking good as he drove a solid race to round out the top five. “I had a decent start and I just tried to race my own race. My Elka shocks worked great out there and my Maxxis tires really hooked up in the mud. I am really happy with finishing fifth. It helped a lot in points so I am just going to try to keep improving,” said Hancock, who also claimed seventh in the SxS Unlimited class.
