In the first moto, Rastrelli battled his way
to a third place finish. “The first moto went
really well. I battled with John Natalie and Thomas
Brown throughout the whole race. Thomas ended
up pulling away from us a little bit, but John
and I had a really fierce battle. I didn’t get
the best start, and really had to work my way
up and catch John. I tried a couple times to get
around him, and I couldn’t quite get the job done,”
said Rastrelli.

In moto two, Rastrelli found himself in an even
more intense battle. The race had the crowd on
their toes as the battle for the overall win came
down to the very last corner of the very last
lap. “Second moto I came out about sixth or seventh,
and worked my way up. I had a battle with Nick
Gennusa, Ronnie Higgerson, Thomas Brown, and John
Natalie. We were all going at it pretty hard.
It was a really good race. I ended up getting
the pass on John that moto and I ended up getting
the overall win, it was my first one ever so it
was really good,” said Rastrelli. The pass for
the win occurred on the last turn of the last
lap when Rastrelli gave it a final push, made
contact with Natalie, and took the moto win for
the first place overall finish.

success, saying, “My Can Am was working awesome.
The PEP shocks were great, and the ITP tires were
hooking up like crazy. The Soaring Eagle facility
was really awesome as well.”
With his first professional ATV motocross win
under his belt, Rastrelli will continue to improve
going into the offseason. The win at Soaring Eagle
is sure to be a confidence booster as Rastrelli

for the 2016 AMA ATV Motocross Nationals.
