East Springfield, PA (7/18/2015)
- JB Racing/Livewire team riders had another solid
weekend at round eight of the Mtn Dew AMA ATV Motocross
National Championship. Racing was held at Unadilla
MX in New Berlin, NY on July 11-12th. The weather
straightened out for the first time this season,
providing sunny skies and a dry racetrack. Blake
Sarver tackled the high speed, big air track to
earn sixth in 450 B, and tenth in Production B.
Sarver took sixth in both motos of Production
B for sixth overall. “In 450 B I had good starts
in both motos and just rode my own race and tried
to run people down. The quad was running great!
In production B I had good results on Saturday,
but unfortunately I had a little wreck in the
holeshot and was unable to catch back up to the
pack on Sunday. I’ll be ready for Red Bud in a
couple weeks and hoping for good results there,”
said Sarver. Sarver took third in the first moto
of Production B, but the holeshot crash and 14th
place finish in the second moto gave him tenth
overall. Sarver is currently fourth in points
in 450 B.
Logan Peters represented JB Racing/Livewire in
the youth classes at Unadilla. Peters’ best performance
came from 90 Open Jr (8-11). In the first moto,
Peters finished eleventh, but an eight place in
moto two salvaged him tenth place overall. Peters
also competed in the 90 Shifter (8-11) class,
in which he went 17-12 for 14th overall.
Logan Dusenberry had a tough weekend at Unadilla.
It started off well with a third place finish
in the first moto of 450 B. However, in the second
moto, Dusenberry recalled, “I was running in fourth
and I noticed my front right tire started locking
up in the air. By the second lap my front right
tire locked up completely and threw me off the
bike.” This would cause Dusenberry to finish 18th
on the second moto, and consequently land him
15th overall in 450 B.
According to Dusenberry, he also ran into some
bad luck in Production B, “Saturday I was riding
in fourth place and I ended up getting a flat
left back tire.” Dusenberry did later go on to
win the LCQ, but the second moto did not go as
planned. “Sunday in Production B there was a big
crash, and I was hit over a big hay bale,” said
Dusenberry. The unfortunate luck landed Dusenberry
with an 18th overall finish. “It’s definitely
not what I wanted, but I’ll regroup for Red Bud,”
said Dusenberry.
Tyler Peters was absent from the lineup for another
round, be he will hopefully be back in action
before the end of the season.
Round nine of the 2015 Mt. Dew AMA ATV Motocross
National Championship will have the JB Racing/Livewire
team heading to Red Bud in Michigan on July 25-26th.
