East Springfield, PA (3/27/2015) - The JB Racing / Mt Dew Livewire amateur team took on the tough conditions at round one of the 2015 Mt. Dew AMA ATV Motocross Championships where Tyler Peters rounded out the top five in the College (16-24) class.
With heavy rain in the forecast for Sunday at Echeconnee MX, all the second motos on Sunday for the amateur classes were cancelled. That cancellation meant that final results would be taken from Saturday’s motos and heat races.

JB Racing/ Livewire team member, Tyler Peters, was disappointed the second motos were cancelled, as was the entire team. The results for the combined heats didn’t reflect the true potential the team could have achieved from two motos of racing, but despite the shortened weekend of racing, Peters secured a top five finish in the highly competitive College (16-24) class. “I have a lot of changes to my race program this year including making the jump to the Can-Am DS450, which I am finally getting used to. It gave me a great start in the College class and I finished fifth, which I am pretty happy about,” said Peters.

In the Open B class, Peters finished fourth in his heat race, but with the cancellation it put him in seventh overall for the day. “I was happy with my finishes, but I know I can do better when we get to Texas,” said Peters, who also raced in the 450 B class and ended with a nineteenth place finish after encountering some issues.

For JB Racing/Livewire’s Blake Sarver, it was his first time on his race bike, but he was looking strong as he finished fourth in his heat race in the 450 B class. Like with Tyler Peters, Sunday’s cancelation changed his overall results and put him in seventh place finish. “I didn’t get in as much training this winter as I had hoped, but I am happy with my finish,” said Sarver.

The Production B class went much the same way for Sarver, with a fourth place finish in his heat race, which put him in seventh overall. “My Can-Am was working great this weekend. My ITP Tires were really hooking up and my PEP Shocks handled all the rough spots on the track. I really can’t thank Jody, JB Racing and Dave Eller enough for all the work they do and what they have done to put this team together. I couldn’t do this without them. I am going to be doing a lot of training, and I can’t wait for Texas, so I can do even better,” said Sarver.

After winning the championship in both the Production C and 450C classes in 2014, Logan Dusenberry advanced to B for 2015, and he also made the switch to the Can-Am DS450 as well.

Dusenberry didn't get the starts he wanted in either moto as he is still getting use to his new ride. He finished sixth in 450B and seventh in the Production B heat races, but with the single moto format, he dropped back to eleventh and thirteenth in the class results. "My Can-Am is set up great and handles really well. My PEP/ JB suspension really helps in the rough conditions, so I am looking for a win when we head to Texas", said Dusenberry.

Round two of the 2015 Mt. Dew AMA ATV Motocross Championships heads to Underground MX in Kemp, Texas on April 18-19 where the JB Racing/Livewire team is going for a podium sweep.
