- JB Racing/Can-Am/Liquid Wrench’s Tim Farr dominated the GNCC Side by Side race at Powerline Park to take his first win of the season.
Farr started on the second row and picked his way through a tight, traffic-filled field to take first place overall and won without needing the time adjustment. The victory moves Farr to fourth in points going into the season finale.

“We had a solid, convincing win,” said Farr. “There was a lot of traffic and bottlenecks. We had to back up and get around a lot of people. It was frustrating at times, but I just kept going forward. I took the physical lead on the final lap when the leader lost a wheel. I ran the tire over, but he pulled out of my way and I ran to the finish. I ran the fastest lap in the race by quite a bit.
“The JB Can-Am was awesome,” added Farr, “We didn’t have a single problem all day. The car was just phenomenal. We did some clutching last week and that helped a lot. I was a little rusty on the first lap, but two or three laps in, I really had it dialed in.”

Larry Hendershot Jr lost his power steering on the first lap and then tangled with another competitor late in the event. He nursed his Can-Am home to finish 11th on the lead lap.
“My race was over before it began,” said Hendershot Jr. “I got a great start, but we lost the power steering early on. Without power steering, my arms were really giving out, so I went into survival mode. Later in the race, I got hit by someone who lost their brakes on a downhill section. That made us lose a bunch of positions. We are still in this thing until the end, and I’ll be ready for the Ironman.”
JB Racing teammates Tim Farr and Larry Hendershot Jr will bring their Can-Am Mavericks to Crawfordsville, IN for the GNCC Ironman season finale October 31st vying for the top spot on the podium.
