East Springfield, PA (7/18/2015)
- JB Racing/Liquid Wrench’s Peyton Zimmerman captured
two podium finishes at round eight of Mtn Dew AMA
ATV Motocross National Championship event in New
Berlin, NY.
Zimmerman is in the midst of an epic points battle
for the Youth All Star National Championship title.
When the gate dropped on Zimmerman’s heat race,
he ripped the holeshot and never looked back,
winning the moto. “My ITP tires helped me to yank
both holeshots on Saturday,” said Zimmerman. On
the second moto, Zimmerman came in second to give
him a second place overall in the Youth All Star
class. With two rounds left to go, Zimmerman holds
a six point advantage for the national championship
title.

In Super Mini, Zimmerman put together another
impressive performance, and again took second
place overall. During the first moto, Zimmerman
grabbed the holeshot and finished second. However,
some troubles during the start of the second moto
made for a tougher race. “I came out around seventh
and worked my way up to third, so I ended up getting
second overall,” said Zimmerman. With two rounds
left to go, Zimmerman sits only four points behind
the class leader. “These next few tracks are more
my style with the rough sand, so I think I’ll
do pretty good, and hopefully pull off the win
to get a championship,” said Zimmerman.
Women and Schoolgirl class racer, Maddie Guyer,
made her big return at Unadilla, after sitting
out the last few rounds due to an injury. “I was
finally healed enough to race in New York. I felt
much better and gained confidence back on my quads
as the weekend progressed at Unadilla. I am going
to work some more this week and hopefully be back
to riding at 100% soon,” said Guyer.

both classes

Guyer impressed everyone, toughed it out, and
went 4-2 in the women’s class for third overall.
In schoolgirl, Guyer took third in both motos
for a fourth place overall finish. Despite the
injury and all the rounds Guyer has had to sit
out, she is currently fourth in points in the
women’s, and fifth in schoolgirl.
What started out as a good weekend for Brogan
Guyer quickly turned ugly after a crash on Sunday.
“I did not have the weekend I was planning on.
I had a get off in the turn before gravity cavity
causing a broken collar bone, which required surgery.
It definitely sucks having to end the season early,
especially after how hard the JB team has been
working on my quads. I can't thank everyone enough
that has supported me this year,” said Guyer.

Brogan Guyer suffered a broken collar
bone in his final race of the weekend,
which will sideline him for the rest of
the season

Prior to Guyer’s crash, he took a top five in
the 90 Open Sr. class. Guyer took third place
the first moto, and fifth the second moto for
fourth place overall. In the Super Mini class,
4-9 moto finishes earned Guyer a seventh overall.
Grayson Eller had a solid weekend at Unadilla.
Eller’s best finish came from the Schoolboy Sr.
class in which he earned fifth place overall.
In Schoolboy Jr., Eller won his first moto and
laid down the fastest lap of the class with a
2:17.232. However, the second moto did not go
as planned. Eller was running in second place
until the final lap when he ran into troubles,
which took him out of the running for the overall
win. Eller ended up sixth overall. In Youth All
Star, Eller went 5-8 for his eight place overall
finish.
