ITP's Grayson Eller swept both
motos of Schoolboy Sr to claim the overall
win at Ironman ATV MX |
Grayson Eller has been consistently improving
his results this season and it showed as he claimed
both holeshots and both moto wins in the Schoolboy
Sr. class. “I was really stoked! The track was
wet for almost all of my motos, so we decided
to run the 400 for the Schoolboy Sr. class, and
it handled the mud really well. I ended up pulling
both holeshots and led the entire race for both
motos,” said Eller.
In the Schoolboy Jr. class, the first moto was
a good one for Eller as he grabbed the holeshot
and checked out for the win. For the second moto,
Eller was in sixth off the start and had to battle
his way through traffic. “I didn’t give up. I
just put my head down and battled all the way
up. My ITP tires were getting great traction and
kept me from sliding around, and I finished second
in the moto, which gave me the overall,” said
Eller, who also finished sixth overall in the
Youth All Star class.

Peyton Zimmerman claimed his second overall win
of the season in the Youth All Star class. Zimmerman
had a good start in the first moto running in
fourth and charged up into second place and was
pressuring the leader for the entire race, but
was unable to make a pass stick. In moto two,
Zimmerman was on fire as he flew off the start
and grabbed the holeshot. Zimmerman led from start
to finish and took the moto win by over six seconds,
giving him the overall win for the day. “My engine
was pulling strong, and got me the holeshot. I
felt good out there, my Elka suspension was working
great and soaked up all the rough spots. I’m pretty
happy with how my season is going. I have the
points lead in the Youth All Star class, and I
hope to keep it that way,” said Zimmerman.

Peyton Zimmerman claimed the Overall
Win in both the Youth All Star class &
Supermini Class |
Zimmerman also claimed victory in the Supermini
class with 2-1 finishes that gave him the overall
there as well. “It was just an all-around good
weekend for me. The mud wasn’t too bad for my
motos, so I had good races and was able to finish
well. I am closing in on the points lead. I think
I’m only five points down, so I hope I can get
a couple more wins and move ahead,” said Zimmerman.
Maddie Guyer, who broke her wrist at Muddy Creek,
was back in action. Despite only having a month
recovery time, Guyer pulled off 3-4 finishes in
the Women’s class and claimed second overall.
She then followed it up with 2-5 finishes for
fourth overall in the Schoolgirl class.

GUNK's Maddie Guyer returned to
racing a little earlier than expected at
her home state race, Ironman MX, to claim
2nd overall in the Women's class & fourth
overall in Schoolgirl clas. |
“After breaking my wrist at round 3 of nationals,
I wasn't planning on riding for at least another
month, but with this being my home state, I really
wanted to ride. I am healing a lot better than
the doctors expected, so I begged my parents to
let me race! Saturday was the first time I've
rode since my incident a month ago, but I adjusted
well to the bike and track,” said Guyer.

the weekend with a third place overall in the
90 Open Sr. class and another third in the 90
Shifter class. For the Supermini class, Brogan
Guyer rounded out the top five overall. “It was
great being in my home state for the Ironman national.
I took a third overall in both my 90 classes and
things are finally starting to click on my JB/Liquid
Wrench ride,” said Guyer.
Round six of the 2015 Mt. Dew AMA ATV Motocross
Championships will head to Sunset Ridge in Walnut,
