Bradford, VA (11/10/2015) - Johnson
Motorsports/ JB Racing’s Duck Lloyd had a banner
run in his return to GNCC racing competition in
2015. Though he ran an abbreviated season of four
races, Lloyd finished 12th in Junior A Class points
on the merit of a win, two victories and a fourth-place
finish in the Ironman season finale.
Lloyd’s most recent finish came as a result of
having to charge back through the field twice
to net the top-five finish. After starting sixth,
Lloyd overcame two get-offs during the event.

Motorsports' Duck Lloyd over came several
set backs to salvage a 4th place finish
at the Ironman GNCC season finale |
“About three miles in, I hit a tree in the woods
section and got hung up underneath the bike,”
said Lloyd. “I was all the way at the back and
then I got hung up on a mulch pile near the pits.
I charged back through but couldn’t catch up.
“The course was awesome,” added Lloyd. “It was
one of the best ones I’ve run. The fans cheering
really made it that much better.”

Racing's Duck Lloyd is looking forward to
competing in the entire 2016 GNCC season
in the Pro-Am XC2 class |
Lloyd loves the challenge of GNCC racing, so
much so that he’s stepping up to XC2 Pro Am next
year, and he plans on keeping all his existing
sponsors and is excited to have Baldwin Racing
coming onboard as well.
“ I really like GNCC because it’s a challenge,”
said Lloyd. “You really have to be on your “A”
game and have great endurance, physically. I’m
excited about next season. I had a blast this
year.”
Considering his results this year, look for Lloyd
to be a top contender for a podium finish each
round along with making a run to the 2016 GNCC
Pro-Am Championship.
