Ashtabula, OH (11/11/2015) - Brockway
Racing’s Chris Brockway finished out the 2015 GNCC
Racing season in the XC2 Pro Sports UTV class with
back to back podium finishes, and the late season
success boosted Brockway into fourth place in the
GNCC points championship.
After some early season struggles, Brockway finished
out the GNCC season with a victory at Powerline
Park along with a third-place finish in the Ironman
season finale, which scored them a top four finish
in the points championship for the second straight
year against some stiff competition in a tight
points race.

“We were trying to finish out strong,” said Brockway.
“We had a few bad races at the beginning of the
year. Our attitude has changed. Before, we were
looking just to finish races. Now we’re looking
to win races. We’re really happy with our points
finish.”
After several years running in the XC2 class,
Brockway is stepping up to XC1 Pro next season
with a brand new Polaris RZR XP 900. “I’ve been
running with some of the XC1 guys already, so
it shouldn’t be too much of a change,” said Brockway.
“We’re not a factory team, so we’ll have to work
hard next year.”
Brockway has been racing GNCC for several decades
now, and UTV class has allowed him to continue
his career in the Nation’s top cross-country racing
series. “I’ve always been a GNCC guy from three
wheelers to four wheelers to motorcycles,” said
Brockway. “Age just caught up with me and with
age comes the cage. I love playing in the woods.”
Brockway also made his Heartland Challenge debut
this year, finishing fifth overall and third in
the 900 UTV Class.
“We just wanted to finish,” said Brockway. “We
did relatively well for our first year. It’s a
really fun event. Four hours is a long time in
the driver’s seat. When we do it again, I will
have someone to split up the driving time.”

up to the GNCC XC1 Pro class in 2016 and go head
to head with the fastest woods UTV racers in the
country.
