Daniels, WV (11/4/2015) - Can-Am/QuadBoss/BikeMaster’s
Bryan Buckhannon finished out the year with a big
win in the Pro 4x4 ATV class at the Ironman GNCC
to clinch his second straight Pro 4x4 Championship,
which was also his eighth straight GNCC Utility
championship.
Buckhannon came out atop of a three-atv dogfight,
trading the lead several times on each lap, but
ended in front at the checkered flag. In all,
Buckhannon won three races this season, and finished
on the podium at every event, which was the key
to this year’s championship.

Can-Am/QuadBoss/BikeMaster’s
Bryan Buckhannon secured his 2nd Straight
4x4 Pro GNCC Championship with the win at
the Ironman |
“I had to win this race to get the championship,
so it was no-holds barred, and we knew it was
going to be that way,” said Buckhannon. “It was
a crazy battle. We traded the lead so many times
that I don’t know how many times it changed.”
“We all raced really cleanly,” added Buckhannon.
“Sure, there was some bumping and grinding, but
overall everyone kept it clean. I definitely felt
the pressure today. Most people couldn’t see how
much we were passing. We were using lappers as
moving picks.”

Buckhannon faced a hard fault battle for
the win at the Ironman GNCC with the Championship
coming down to the season finale |
Buckhannon took some additional time to mentally
prepare for the weekend’s event. “There was a
lot of pressure on me coming into this race and
I’m usually pretty amped up before a race,” said
Buckhannon. “I calmed down a lot before this weekend.
I got myself mentally prepared. Racing is tough
both mentally and physically. I put both together
today.”
Buckhannon’s Can-Am ran flawlessly this season,
allowing him to run up front and in contention
at every race. He’s looking forward to debuting
Can-Am’s new 1000cc machine next year.
“This was a great year for us and for Can-Am,”
said Buckhannon. “Any difficulties we had were
based on missing the setup at a few races, but
this machine is built to win races. We never gave
up this year and I think it shows.”
