Has anyone tried drilling there stock a-arms to put grease fitting, so that the bushings will last longer?

it can be done, just make sure there is clearence so the grease zerks dont hit the frame.

putting grease inserts is not the answer. by just adding grease, you just move the gritt around inside, thus causing premature failure. the best solution is to remove them and clean them. this should be done at the same time that you do your swingarm pivot bolt. i would say about every three months if you ride often.
