Would this work on a 300ex and use the hot start lever to operate the reverse. I really don't want to lose reverse and I don't feel comfortable with the reverse mod. I don't want to risk damage to the trans. Any help would be appreciated. thanks

yea it should work. the reverse is operated by cable just like the clutch so it should work;)

That's what I was thinking.

Does RTC make one with the hot start lever? The one I found is expensive:eek2:

Anyone know anything cheaper but still good quality?

The only way you can hurt reverse is to slam it in while going forward. Looks like a good mod to me!:)

just do the mod, i did and it goes into reverse SO much easier, and it cant hurt the tranny unless u have it in reverse then put it in first

Mine can be shifted into reverse easily already because I have a foot operated reverse shift lever instead of the handle near the starter. If I do the reverse mod it would be way too easy to hit reverse and first at the same time. I am mainly looking to get the EZ pull type adjustable clutch lever and retain my current setup for reverse. Thanks for any help.
