Can someone tell me if this set up can work. I want to have someone building a 4" extended swing arm for my 87 TRX.
I heard that for the stock shock that will be to mach length to handle, So I thought if instead I ask my builder to do a 450 setup and use the 450 stock shock, will this work? thanks for your help

the shocks resivoir on the 450r version is the problem, its a piggy back resivoir not a remote mount.
to do the +4 swinger you need to respring your shock, or revalve depends on if it was setup perfect for your weight to begin with or not.
its about 3-500$ for a properly resprung/revalved refreshed shock
its what ive had to do for all my extended bikes.

here s photo of the 450r shock
with the big resivoir it either hits the pipe, the frame or the air boot with a eliminator kit.

Thanks for the reply, would it be the same problem using a banshee shock with no link?
