i wanna put a hot cam in my 01 400ex its piped and jetted should i go with a stage 1 or stage 2
Stage 1 gives you more lowend power and stage 2 is mid to topend power.
Depends on how, where you ride really.
I just did a 416 build and did a stage 2 and I am anxious to get it dialed in. But mine also makes more power period cause of the 416 kit and 11:1 piston.
If you want the best of both worlds I hear the sparks stage 1 cam is about middle between HC 1 and 2.

my vote goes to the stage 1 for a mostly stock engine. without more compression the stage 2 lowers the dynamic comp a bit too much for my liking. steve
