All stock, I'm under the impression it's just a hair under 30.

This may have had a pipe but otherwise was all stock. 86 if I remember correctly and yes with a thick head gasket.

little over 30 you hear different numbers but thats about what a 89 is..

on the certificate of origin that came from honda for my 87 states S.A.E. horsepower at 38.4
this is for a stock off the floor 1987 trx250r. i'm sure this varies due to manufacturing tolerances

That figure is not rwhp. Very deceiving.

with updated reeds and pipe i think its about 37 at the rear wheels. read it in a magazine a while back.

Bone stock 88-89 were rated at 28 rear wheel h.p. Remember this is stock rating off the show room floor. Pipe, carb and tuning were good for +10 hp no problem. They were tuned very mellow from the factory.

28 hp is what ive always heard for a stock 250r.

28hp. i think that is what a 400ex is.

I just looked up the dyno run information. The 30.15 HP was as the 86 250r came in with a pro circuit pipe. The 32 HP run was after some jetting changes.

Yep 39hp on the honda specs but think that is at the flywheel.....
