id go but my quad is broken again. need a new axle bearing. the sproket is wobling and i rode 6or 7 miles to a friends house by road and the chain stretched alot and now it wont stay on for a second. btw flipper we fixed the back breaks on the blaster. we had it torn down today and had my friends dad and bro work on it cuz they are really good at that crap...

nope its a 1986 fourwheeler. go to honda's site and go to atv's then milestone models and its there next to the 250r. its like the 250ex but chain driven and diff motor. its in pretty good shape... i cut the fenders a little and the plastic has been repaired in several places. i took the front fenders "mud flaps" off too which could be cut to look better becuase the edges are rough or you could just put the flaps back on. automatic clutch too like the 250ex. new unifilter and red grab bar and front bumper. you can go here and click on "other members rides" for a pic of it but the quality isnt so good. not sure if me or my dad would sell it thoughwww.quadshot.homestead.com/rides.html

yeah its pretty cool. it keeps up with a 400 2stroke polaris explorer:eek: even though it bearly keeps up with a 250ex in top speed:huh the suspension is hard as a rock in the front though so it sucks on bumpy trails.

tore it down!?!!? you just needed to slide that little boot by the caliper foward and unscrew the bolt a little, I'm sure you guys figured it out though. I think your friend may want to pick up a book on the blaster just so he can read how to fix little stuff and do regular matinence. since you guys were mudding I would probly check that air filter out. its really easy stuff, just make sure the brakes are working good, it has a clean air filter, keep the oil in the tranny full, and let it warm up before you go out riding. it would be a good idea to clean often too so parts wont wear out as fast. they shoud probly fix that chain ajuster too, I told he about it when he first looked at it, but he may have forgotten. if that chain becomes to loose it could derail.

yeah we tore it down and checked stuff. yeah we didnt tear the break apart we just did that screw thing.my friends dad and bro are like mechanical genioses so they can fix anything. and he bought a blaster book too. the airbox was full of mud and crap but we cleaned it out immediatly.

yeah you should come up sometime. i got my jump done last week. its a table and i measured from bottom of the lip to bottom of the landing and its 65' but if you measured straight w/o the lip being a factor it would only be like 50-55. it really rutted up in the landing though.... stupid banshee:mad: but its a fun jump and has 3 landings on the table. weve only been hitting the second for now. my friend rolled my other friends 250ex down the jump though it sucked but didnt do anything to it

thanks spliffy and speedy. thats a FDO Racing 250x motor in there. its a 1998 laegers 300ex frame. I would list all the mods, but that would just be a waste...to save you time and myself i'll just say it has pretty much everything top of the line after market.

#34: yeah that was me, I told you I liked the shocks, but to tell you the truth...I havent raced on them yet. I just bought the quad a couple of weeks before that race. I sure i'll like them. I have elkas on my other quad and those are really nice, high quality shocks. I would have like to talk to you more at the races, but its so hard to hear.

flyin: I dont know how much it is, but im pretty sure you can get one day cards.

yeah flipper i read in the armca newsletter that it was 10$ for a one day card. and they dont care about noise there is one house which is the guy that owns it for like 1 mile around. dont worry about the noise cuz some dirtbikes there are loud as hell. his kids might come out and ride with you guys on there 50 too.. btw- sweet quad

no team you dont have to go to his house and ask. just jump on the track and ride. i hope he redid it a little for you guys cuz there were some bike ruts in there. but the one isnt an 80... my friend was just guessing its only about 65-70 but still plenty big. flipper are you talking to me about racing? if so ill be racing the blaster class (91-200cc 2 stroke) and ill only be doing a couple races this year... test it out then hopefully ill get a 400ex next year or the year after and race that and go big:macho :D

yeah they have open B for people who are just beginning and who aren't used to racing, that way they have a chance of doing somewhat good. once you are used to racing you can move up to open class a. next sunday at grantsburg i'm doing open class B with my 2002 banshee, it's basically stock except for holeshots, dg nerfs, tag handlebars, tether kill switch, white brothers boost bottle, and uni filter. i also am planning on running 114 octane into it:devil , or else 104 which i used yesterday and that was a BLAST. dragged a corvette couple minutes after i put 104 into it, i kept up with it and i was pulling ahead for awhile, until at the end of the field the guy probably put it into a higher gear and took off. it was awesome. anyone else going to grantsburg?

that 400ex was fast, but not the fast. there was nobody fast there to race against. that scrambler was mike rivards. its been in atv sport a couple of times. its pushin 80hp and it has a custom hpd frame. about the only thing stock on it is the bottom end of the motor. hes a fast guy but he was having problems with his quad.

now that there is A and B classes it wont be as bad. if you race open you might have to run against some pretty high hp machines. on saturday they ran the track threw the middle were the doubles were because the back part of the track was flooded. when they open the back half up then they will close the center part.

they have a open B now. I wouldnt run race gas unless you have a high compretion motor. your just wasting you money if you do.

neal, that 104 is octane boost so i think that is ok to run since it is made for putting in stock or close to it machines.

bomber- you should stop at waynes and get some 114 octane for your 416. (the place we met at to go up to milltown)

High octane gas doesn't give you any more power, the higher octane only makes your engine run cooler. Its a waste of money unless you have high comp piston where you need th extra cooling. It won't hurt your banshee but its just a waste on money.

the back half is okay, it just a real fast like the rest of the track and not very technical. I think the center part is funner.

I dont think it will hurt your motor but I wont help you at all. all race gas is for is to run cooler and help preignition. even if it did help a little, the changes would be so small the a beigner would beable too tell the diffeerence and its wont make you win the race. I wooould just run pump gas. then save up all that extra money you're saving and buy some cigarettes. j/k then use that money for you entry fees or other mods to your quad. oh, and that octane boost 104....that will hurt your motor if you put to much in. its sopose to be like one whole bottle for a tank in a car. I know someone that put a full bottle in a sled and the motor ran so hot that it melted the sparkplugs. and beyond that...I think octane boost has alcohol or methonol or something like that in it, so it wouldnt be a AMA legal fuel anyhow.

I got my Elka shocks today! non rezzies but for me thats still Killer!They are Great!! One question about them though, when I sit on them the 1st(of 3) springs compresses almost fully. I know snowmobile shocks do that but for spending that much on them I wanna get the most out of them, thanks-darren:devil

nice shocks Speedy, I beleive thats why they are called triple rates.. the first spring is like the preload/light riding spring, the second is for medium bumps/jumps & the stiff larger spring is for jumping.. this is a guess.. where did you get them at & how much? thanks

#5-They ride great!I havn't got the chance to hit any big jumps but so far, wow, corners they let me tip on the side 2 wheels like 75% less. They soak up jump lands a lot also.Its definetly worth the money.

Admission (whatever it is?)
plus gas and food, man it gets spendy.
Remember your parent has to sign off on your ARMCA (possibly ATVA also) membership if you're under 18.

So just to get your quad on the track $105+
I probably get my ARMCA membership next week so I can race next month and just pay to race.

Yep we're goin to the trails....i've been riding up there for 7 years....its a good place to ride....their is also 4 gravel pits to play around in....its gonna be awsome....We go up their a lot because my grandparents live two town down (moose lake) and my other grandparents live three towns down (Barnum)....

I think it will be the first turn ether direction on the west side of the road...then go til you see the sign for willow bend racing also on the west side of the road.

Yeah sorry....we weren't sure if we were goin for sure....But yeah.....the track is sweet.....it was just a lot of mud.....heck the only part on the 400ex's that was clean was the frame for some reason......must have been because the water rinsed it off.... you couldn't even see what color the plastic was....

I wish we had monday off but we don't....we are going to have to plan out a day for all of us to go....

One guy was doing crazy S*** with a Predator, seemed like he never ran out of power like an EX. This guy was riding wheelies up the dunes, pitching it every direction on the ridges, it was entertaining to watch a guy that has no fear or common sense, but he never did crash. :D

I would like to go sometime.....but who knows when that will happen. I dont like riding my 300ex ethier when I have a laegers just sitting in the garage. on the upside, my motor should be done soon. I called mike at fdo last friday and he said I bent the intake valves. he also said he has a 406 jug and piston off one of jeff housers motors, so he'll probly be putting that on and selling my 365 topend. I can wait...It was fast before, I cant imagine what another 41cc will do. my motor was a 406 origanaly but they took the bore down some so it would be legal for the sport class. I never rode it when it was a 406 before, but I heard it was pretty fast. :devil

just got done ordering new 2+ a-arms for my 416, i'm so excited!!! and i ordered 18" fast trekkers on 8" ITP T-9's. all I need is a new axle and i am set for a while!!!! i cant wait to get that stuff on and race it. i ride 400exgirls and i love it, makes me not wanna even ride mine anymore. she has +2 everything with works shocks. i can go faster on her machine with a stock motor than my mod motor.

today i went riding with flyin#5 and my other friend with his kx125, we went riding on the Cat Tail trail all the way through amery, then we rode on the streets of amery for a couple minutes and headed back. i was flying through there with my 'shee doing about 65-70 hitting the whoops and it was a blast! haha, a driveway came up on me fast and i got some major air off of it. then my parents grounded me off the 'shee because it's "illegal" for me to ride since i'm 14, and yea they think i was riding on the roads or something? yea they're gay.

darren- you'll have to come over a lot this summer and ride with us on the Cat Tail, i want to see your 400 fly through there, it's fun sh*t!
