Yeah I have rode out there a few times with Jonathan and Ben Hamson.... they are decent at building tracks, idk why they just dont let them do some work to it.... Jonathan said its better now-a-days

i know how that road rash feels man. it sends shivers up my spine seeing that rash, because it looks identical or mine may have been worse but it was on my but, and i couldnt sit down for 3 weeks, and went through horrible pain every night cleaning it. but keep on ridin man, ITS PART OF IT.

I just bought my 08 ltr so there isnt much done to it yet. this is a horrible pic i took on my phone. so far all that is done is air box lid and baffle removed, cherry bomb, blingstar nerfs, and pro taper atv high bend bars.

lol man that crash suxked all i got was a concussion and that road rash. but recently i crashed my new ltr i have and broke my wrist and had surgery on it but didnt mess the quad up to bad..but ill put a pic up of it shortly.

We just installed a kicker and it hits the nerf(AC Racing).We going to replace the nerfs with either Houser MX or Pro Armor revolution nerf bars.We are leaning towards the Pro Armor bars.The kicker will clear both bars,so they tell me.

nah its not to close to the nerf. you will have to kick with more of your heel though. sucks at first but you get use to it.

I would 110% agree with you on the motor. But most people don't realize that the chassis was pulled straight from the 250r which happens to be the best handling chassis of all time. Just wanted to point that one out, not saying your wrong or anything, but they're not total trail quads.

I would 110% agree with you on the motor. But most people don't realize that the chassis was pulled straight from the 250r which happens to be the best handling chassis of all time. Just wanted to point that one out, not saying your wrong or anything, but they're not total trail quads.

You realize that almost every "race" quad that has come out since the 80's has been based on the 250r right?

Yeah but not every one of them has the same chassis, the only differences are the removable grab bar and the square shape of the frame tube. I'm not saying my 400's better but it shares an identical frame with the 250r and identical geometry with the 450r. The motor is the one and only downfall of the 400ex.

All I'm saying is that it's inaccurate to assume just because the motor falls shy of a full on race quad that there's no potential for it to race mx.

my stock 250r (stock arm's and suspension) outshined my 400ex (had stock set up and +2 arms and works shocks all the way around) any day of the week. Sorry but a 400ex does not handle well at all IMO. I always felt like i was riding on top of a brick on my 400ex

im a little fed up with everyone saying 400's are useless even if they are old posts.. fyi a 400 could put a 450 to shame in the woods. its all about the rider. in the woods you dont even use near the power a 450 has

Agreed, and correct me if I'm wrong here HondaRacing83 but the 400ex chassis is almost identical to the 250r chassis other than some minor differences in the shape of the tubing and whatnot.

What'd you use to paint the tip of your Motoworks? Mines a little dull and I can't get it to shine up for anything. I'd love to paint it.
