sportrax or fourtrax?

hey, I was looking at a clymer repair manual for my 400, and it says it covers sportrax 400 and fourtrax 400. just wondering what the difference was.

I think the first year, or two it was called the fourtrax, then they switched so people would know it was sporty.... Only real diff is the seat cover...

i figured it was probly just a name change but i wasnt sure. mines a 2000 and the seat says sportrax.
