I changed my oil on my 400ex then rode for a long weekend so i decided to change it again and only drained about a cup. Where is my oil going?? Its not leaking anywhere and not showing in my exhaust. I am stumped. Please give me some suggestions.
Also is there a problem with standing the bike up on its tale for storage? i have heard people comment both ways.
Thanks

Only drained out a cup from which place? Crankcase or oil tank?

This is the beginning of a scary thread.
I'm hoping that all you drained the oil from was the oil tank.:huh

No smoke at all. I would imagine to see black smoke if i were burning it, bu there has been nothing. Everything has ran great. I dont know about the crankcase breather bulb though? You can see where my confusion has come from. Where could it have gone/be?

White smoke is usally burning coolant, won't happen on a 400ex.
Either enough oil wasn't put in, or there is an external leak, or your burning oil. My guess, your burning oil. No blue smoke?
