300ex just clicks

whenever i try to start nuthin, then i pull the clutch and it just clicks. i traced all the wires, and even tried to jump the starter relay but still just clicks. very friggin depressing.
did i mention that it has a new battery, any help would be appreciated.

Check the battery terminals and make sure u got a real good connection, that has been a problem for me when everything else is working fine.

I had the same problem on my 400ex. The terminals all had a good connection adn still couldnt figure out the problem.

I replaced the ground cable on teh battery and filed down the frame where it connects and it went away. There was some rust on it and the wire was shot. you might want to try that.

Just what he said. I had the same problem on my old 300ex, and it was just rust and a bad connection between the batery, and the ground, or battery and the solenoid.

The solenoid is probablly the problem. My 300ex did the same thing. I hit the solenoid with a hammer and it fixed it.

this isnt proably it, but when i try to start my 300ex when the reverse lever is up, the relays just click.
