Tremont, PA – 3rd Annual ATVriders.com Rausch Creek Member Ride scheduled for August 19-21st will be the biggest and best yet with food, prizes, free t-shirts & stickers, and more. Rausch Creek is the perfect location for a Member ride with several different skill level MX tracks and miles of trails for those that enjoy a relaxing trail ride.

The past few years the event has provided a weekend of fun and with thousands of new members signing up on ATVriders.com since the last ride at Rausch Creek, I expect to see the largest turnout ever.

Once Again, Rausch Creek has agreed to provide ATVriders.com Members a discounted rate of only $25/day to ride plus a one time $15 Membership Fee, and as always, general admission to the park is FREE, so bring the whole family. Also, there is FREE overnight camping at the track, but no water or electric hookups provided, but there is a campground and hotel within a few miles of the track.

The Member ride is scheduled Friday through Sunday for those looking for a weekend getaway, but the main day for the ride will be on Saturday for those that can only make it for a day.

The planning is still underway for some additional surprises, so be sure to check back to hear the latest details on the Member Ride.

If you plan on attending and want to receive the discounted rate of only $25/day, you must send an email to webmaster@atvriders.com with your username and real name, so I can add you to the member list at Rausch Creek.

Also, I have a limited supply of Rausch Creek Admission tickets that are available in advance for only $20/day, so if you plan on attending contact me ASAP at webmaster@atvriders.com for this incredible deal. Also, don’t worry if you purchase these tickets and can’t make it to the ride because they are valid for any day at Rausch Creek.

im thinking about it...4 hours for me..i've bean their before so its not the drive, but with racing were not exactly rolling in cash for riding trips...especially since its hard to pitch a tent at rausch due to the 3 inch trap rock parking lot...

The parking lot has been expanded to twice the size as last year and it isn't all stone as you mentioned, so camping in a tent shouldn't be a problem.

Also, I forgot to mention that Pappy will be doing the cooking, and I will tell you that man can cook:devil:. I would drive several hours just eat some of the food he prepares when camping, so you won't be disappointed.

Plus, the camp fire stories at night are priceless, and anyone that has been to previous rides knows exactly what I am talking about without spilling the beans.

Will you be there? Maybe I can train behind you. I think i'll do it on the 19th-21 ride. That other big double the 90 footer I guess that seems alittle nutty. The first time I looked at the thing I was like, why are these two huge singles so far apart. Someone told me later that it was actuly a double. I haven't seen anyone clear it in person yet. If I see it done usually I'll end up hitting it!

Yea, if they let bikes on expert ATV u can deffinatley follow me off it, if not then maybe if it slows down at the end of the day ill sneek on:macho Usually after 5 PM they let u ride all the tracks. the biggest double its pretty scary to do because its right out of that bowl turn(atleast it was, havent been there in like 2 months) anyway its pretty intimidating. i just followed michelle reisers brother around for a while and got the courage to do it:macho

Yea thats me! Both the big double and the triple are big jumps. For an advanced MX rider they arn't too hard, just intimidating. I'm doing the 90ftr 4th pegged, thats a little harder to do in my opinion. The triple I'm 4th tapped, and let off a tiny bit on the ramp. These jumps are great, but the big triple on the woods track is the next to be tamed!

I think I remember you. Did your suspension blow out? I have hard time remembering things before my last crash there. Me and Paul were riding together and I cased the second double in the double to double section of the expert track. Ask Paul about it. I bet he had a pretty good laugh! I got heli'ed out to geisinger hospital. I had 2 concusions and a pretty beaten up body. Later that day Paul bent his axle after he tryed to chase Dustin Wimmer around the expert track.

There are several different tracks and trails, so I don't think this will be an issue. Plus, everyone isn't going to ride all at the same time, so keep a positive attitude and join in on the fun.

yes dont worry it will be fine. ive ridden there where the entire parking lot is full...but on the tracks it seems just like any other day. of course there are people but its not going to be jam packed by any means. plus i was at the first one....i will give you an example of how it goes. tommy and pappy go out and cruise around a lap on the track....perhaps two.....go back to our little area....bs about that lap for the rest of that hour and cool off and rehydrate from such a hardcore lap....repeat process for a few hrs....then they are beat so its bs'ing and campfire time :blah:

There are a few small hillclimbs back in the woods. I don't think Rausch has any coal hills on their property, but nearby Tower City has MT. Everest and a bunch of cool climbs. Also you could stop by Treverton, Shenandoah, and St. Clair if you wanna climb coal hills!

I got a question, this just occured to me, I don't have a title for my frame yet, and I don't think I can get it in 4 days, is a title and inshurance required to ride at rausch?

And to add to that, I heard some tracks require riding boots, will I have to go out and get a pair of those before I come down? And is there any other rules I can't think of that I would need to get something for.

Ralph
08-13-2005, 10:56 AM
no a title is not required and riding boots arent mandatory but i would get some anyways if i was you. Some regular work boots should be fine. Just get something with good protection and ankle support. just no sneakers or anything

3 or 4 types of chicken wings

a few smoked london broil roasts

smoked pork butt

deer chops

shrimp and sausage gumbo!

chili

hamburgers

hot dogs

corn on the cob

fruit salad (watermelon, grapes, kiwi etc)

brats in beer

macaroni and cheese

we may have some more, depending on what the meat market has.

the only thing i wont be bringing is chips and such, so if you have the hankering for that kind of stuff, bring it.

i will have to start smoking the meats around 11 am. dinner should be ready around 7 pm so everyone can have a chance to clean up and rest up a bit from a day of hammering the track.

dinner will be roughly 7pm saturday evening. everyone is invited and we are hoping to have enough so noone walks away hungry!

It has been confirmed that #2 William Yokley (Suzuki/Yoshimura) will be attending the ride to sign Autographs Saturday Afternoon, and the list continues to grow, but I don't want to announce anyone else until they are confirmed.

I have been putting together the list of names to submit to Rausch Creek for the discounted rate, so as long as you sent me an email with your username and are a registered member yourself and as many friends can attend the ride for the same rate.

Thats what I was thinking too. I can't wait to ride with the pros.

What is the Raush Creek website, I thought it was somewhere in this thread but I didn't find it. I need to look up how much quad rentals are, in the off chance the 250r isn't done, and I want to get my dad to rent one for him to ride.

Yea I looked up the rentals, no good machines and boy are they expensive. I still have a couple frineds here that I might be able to fall back on to borrow a quad. I'll bring that little car tv I got if someone else will bring the PS2 and games.

i was in charge of the food, but ill see what i can do to grab a few cases of gatorade and maybe pre fill my drinking coolers with water or lemonade etc.

i would still suggest bringing plenty to drink, but i will make sure noone dies of thirst:p

i had thought about bring a few big tubs full of ice so folks can just walk up and grab what they want. that may be the most feasible for me.

thats typical for that area this time of year. a brief shower will probably be welcome to help control dust and hopefully cool off the temps.

i will try and bring some extra parts, including grips. i hate to see anyone get there and wad themselves up and break a part.

How good are uni filters with an outerwear is in the rain? An air box was one thing on my list of stuff that I could do without for a while.

it funny you say that,....... but i just finished the 550 build last night and plan on kicking her over tonight for the first time. I'm a bit nervous that all the tolerances are correct and she's be perfect for friday night break-in on the dyno up there at Rausch. The problem is that if something is not right, there is no time for me to really fix the problem in time.. either way- I'm showing up with something- either a 502ex or my 550R.
