Geogeorge, I know who Singer and Hulsey are. I am certain they dont know me. I am like some sort of quad groupy! It is pathetic. Those guys are just so freakin bad ***. I will come up and talk with ya if I get a chance. I will park my quad around the corner b/c it is like the ugly step child compared to there rides. Mine looks pretty bad right now even by my standards!

And great they are racing so that means I can't take home all the expert money! No seriously though I hope they dont lap me!!!

If you get to me that means something is wrong with me or the bike!;) No seriously though I am not that slow I hope no B guys catch me if they do I got problems! I just try to tone it down in here and especally at the hillbilly site some of those guys dont really like me so I try to be really modest. I am not up to the caliber of singer, hulsey, martin, shep, or the other AA riders but I can do ok in A. I raced B last year finished 2 of 3 races and got 13th and 19th overall. So I am not terrible but just in case I have a bad day I just act like I suck really bad so it is expected! Your probaly like:huh WTF is he talking about! I travel all over to take my daughter racing did you ever race the great lakes quad series. Its for the racers you the quad racers are there #1 priority. All A classes are cash payback and all others are trophy.ATVA sanctioned and we average close to 200 racersv at each event.Classes for everyone from the peewee racers to the senior class. We even have a womans class that probably can beat most b class riders. We have riders from Illinois ,Mineesota, Michigan Most races are in Wisconsin but we do have one in Byron Illinois and one in upper Michihan 12 races total quads only. For more info go to

Johnny I can spend the big bucks on the bike. I spend it at the strip clubs. If I were married my wife would make me stay home so I would have more money for racing.

I only need one front and one back. stock will match what I have now. Besides I have yet to mess up a stock rim. there tuff you know.

Plans have changed again for New Years Day. It now looks like we are going to FR for the day. To many people wanted to go to the other place. Maybe it will warm up again by then.
If you don't send out invatitions then you don't have to listen to the people complaining.

Was talking with some of the other guys. how many of you are going to go to newark this year? You know the place with the crapy trophys and very few of them? I really like the track but what they did last year was bull. I think I will take it as a drop race.

tprender
12-20-2004, 06:57 AM
Remember that you only count 70% of the races. That means that you take you 9 best scores from the 13 races. If you make all 13 races you will have 4 that don't count. Also, you can do a work average, with a work average you take your best 5 scores and average them and that will be score for the race that you work. You should call ahead of time to ask if you can work. Only 15 or so riders did a work average last year. You should be required to work one just to see what it is like on the other side.

I bet setting up for a race like this is very hectic. I built a couple mile track behind my house and it took me and a few others all day in the woods. And after we rode on it there was still more to change. I would love to work one but I only race the ones close to me and that equals about 6 so I have to race all I can, to get as many points as possible.

have not been there in a few years. but it is rocky, tight woods last time I was there. Snow only if it has snowed. You can count on it being cold, creeks hold up well. There a some fields they might still run us thought. I always like those. If there running us on the same trail I'm guessing it has widened out some. The hills are not all that bad. there is a fire road they run use down so you will have some high speed areas. This is franks race. So It is hard to tell if the quad track is anything really great or not. franks a two wheel guy.

I was there in 2000. I beleived it snowed the week before. it made the pits a mud fest. It took 20 min. just to get to the gate. Most people just parked on the side of the gravel road. This shouldn't be problem they move the pits to a different spot.As for the track should be fast and tight and should not rut up to much becausre of the rocks. I should be there if I get off work that day.

P.S. who is #13 in mo? thats a gay *** number............

I like lebanon too. I was one of the guys that first layed out the track there when it was vergin ground for us. Frank took it over after the mo dirt guys had a few races there. The only thing I don't like about it is its hard on tires. I always seem to get flats there.

Hey where are you guys riding at?

On another note, the MHSC is only reserving the top 20 numbers this year. That sucks I want a number plate! Didnt they used to save the top 60? I only scored two races I wish I woulda known.:(

Were riding at Flat river on saturday the 1st. we do it every year.
you can get a hold of the score keeper and she should hold the number for you. they have always only give out the top 20 but in the past the score keeper keep the number you erned for you if you wonted it. but that was in the past when we had score keepers that would do that for oyu.

When we were there riding on Monday as all of you working people were working there was about 1 in of snow on the ground. The place was frozen big time and cold.
Just for your information the March of Dimes race course is cut and finished for next year. It will be 10.5 miles of rock and more rock. I have been nice to Shep the past few years and went around the rocks. NOT THIS YEAR!!! Other than the rocks, you will like it very much. The rest area will be open and it might even have a seat this coming year. But, remember to flush when finished and no butts, Shep. might even have some reading material with pictures.

Plus next year I wanna get a 450R and I dont wanna dump a lot of money in the ol 400. I will just get beat up for one more year hopefully I can get lt all the way around the 450. I will be missing the March of Dimes race as my sister decided that would be a good weekend to get married. This sucks well i might let my buddy race my EX in the beginners class, so all of you be nice to him, I don't want my quad f#$#% up. Should be at all the other races though. I have seen the new classes for this year. Does anyone know if I can race open B or do i have to ride with my age group? +25? Have fun at Flat.

12-31-2004, 01:00 PM
If you are +25 you don't have to ride in the vet class, you can just ride in the B or C class, if you want. Go an get a piece of cardboard and glue a picture of yourself on it and then have someone carry it around during the day. Show up for the reception that night. The wedding part is boring to us guys anyway. Its only your sister, if she can't take a joke by now it to late.

motoboy66
12-31-2004, 05:12 PM
what time is the race?

Let see the wedding is at 5:00, and is only 1:20 from park hills. Dare i try it race in the morning and drive to be at the wedding? Might just have to try that. She claims this will be her only wedding, and if i miss it she will beat the sh#$ out of me. But I really dont want to miss this race.

That should make it easier for me to fly home and get to the all the races. Pretty sad when i plan my schedual around the race dates. I really need some TLC with my ex, it is smoking pretty bad now. Did you decide on a quad for next year? I was real impressed with Shep & Hulsely's long travel yfz setups. The place where they stood out the most was in the whooped out sand sections - those lt rearends really stayed planted.

heres a bummer for ya shep. I believe Im confined to the house for a few days. Angie fell down the big staircase in the house tonight. She had the baby in her arms and slipped on the top step. she was holding wyatt up in the air so he wouldnt get hurt and she fell all the way to the bottom. Thank God everyone is ok. Wyatt is fine but angie got busted up pretty bad. She wouldnt let me take her to the hospital because she says they cant do anything for her tailbone anyway. She doesnt think she broke anything but you know how sore tailbones are. she can barely move. so I am babysittin and swappin ice packs and all that good stuff.... I feel terible for her. Same thing here.. I think the yfz might fit a little better, and I am sure the rear works better, but I dont want to spend the first couple races trying to get use to something new and figuring out how to set it up.. my honda is nothing special, but I know it will finish a race and I can start off the season like she sits.

Hope everything works out well with you wife.

Yea I totally agree carson. Sounds like we are in the same boat. Sometimes switching to something(even if it is better) turns out to be more of a distraction than anything once you deal with setup time and learning to ride it and all that good stuff. One thing I can say good about the atv industry now is we have choices. There isnt just one good bike out there like we have seen for so many years. I am not really sure between the yammy and the honda if there really is one better than the other. There are things I like better on the honda and there are things I like better on the yammy. And there are guys going blazing fast on both of them. what we need is a honda/yamaha merge( like kawi and suzuki did) then we could get an electric start 450R motor in a YFZ chassis :D now that would be a cross country bike...........thanks for the encouraging words on the wife. I think everything will be fine. She is gonna be sore and it scared us pretty bad butI think everything will be fine. Matt
