Unleaded fuels or Leaded fuels?

Which is better to run for a 4 stroke engine? I have heard that leaded fuels actually cause valves to go bad, but I'm not sure about this. Is there really any difference? Any help is appreciated.

From what I remember, leaded fuel is beneficial to the valve seats, it lubricates them I think. When I was messing with car motors years ago we'd have hardened valve seats installed so unleaded fuel can be used.

No, the leaded fuel will not hurt your valves or anything else.

The leaded may be better, but not by much either way.
