The ATV industry has been
undergoing some serious changes in preparation
for the 2010 season, with some manufacturers
cutting back and others dropping out of racing
altogether which, in turn, has caused many
racers to switch machines. These changes have
brought about many surprises, but perhaps
one of the biggest shockers of them all was
Josh Creamer’s switch from green to
yellow.
2009 proved to be a successful
year for Creamer as he landed a top five position
at season’s end, despite a couple of
issues at mid-season, and he took the top
spot on the podium at round six and at the
final at Loretta Lynn’s. Creamer’s
solid performance made it appear that he would
be a shoe-in with Kawasaki for 2010, but then
the manufacturer decided to pull the plug
on its ATV race team late in the year, when
most teams had already finalized their rosters
for 2010, leaving Creamer scrambling to find
support for the coming season.
Then
in December of ’09, Suzuki made the
surprising announcement that it would be bringing
Josh Creamer aboard to race along side current
AMA ATV Motocross champion, Dustin Wimmer.
ATVRiders.com
recently had the opportunity to visit Josh
Creamer at his new place down in Florida to
check out his house, his track and see how
he is adjusting to his new ride, and from
what we saw, 2010 could be Josh’s best
season yet.

ATVriders.com:
Josh, you signed on with Suzuki for the 2010
race season and have been getting in some
seat time on the LTR450 Quad Racer, so how
has that been going?
Josh
Creamer: It’s going
good. I was kind of skeptical before I had
a chance to ride the Suzuki because it’s
heavier than my Kawasaki was, but it didn’t
take long at all for me to get used to the
Suzuki. In fact, I think it handles way better.
I’m already really comfortable on it
and I can see why Dustin (Wimmer) has taken
a couple of championships on it.
