Anza, California - After taking
the ATVRiders.com bone stock Polaris RZR XP 900
to a second place finish in Lake Havasu, Beau
Baron backed it up with an amazing win, again
in bone stock form, at Cahuilla Creek MX for round
four of the 2011 WORCS series.
The Cahuilla Creek MX facility provides an
excellent track with a motocross portion that
includes some huge jumps, the biggest jumps
our RZR has yet to see, and plenty of desert
trails to open it up and go full throttle. These
track conditions were ideal for Pro WORCS racer,
Beau Baron, as he charged his way to the top
of the podium.

“I figured I’d wait until the last
second until they threw the flag and then I’d
mash the gas to the floor with the brake on.
I let off as he threw the flag and we came out
first: It was awesome! The RPM’s peaked
out right as the flag dropped and I just took
off and pulled everyone going up the hill,”
said Baron, describing how he grabbed the Side-by-Side
Class One holeshot.

After a great start, Baron was in the lead, but
William Yokely was reeling Baron in on his National
Guard Polaris RZR. “Yokely started to reel
me in out in the off-road section and I couldn’t
figure out how he was going so fast. Then I realized
I was in two wheel drive, so I flipped it into
4x4 and started to pull away a bit and got a decent
gap going of about 20 seconds,” explained
Baron.
One of the most challenging sections in the
SxS races was the motocross section of the track.
The huge lipped up jumps were some of the biggest
the WORCS series has seen, but Baron seemed
right at home and tackled them with ease. “The
RZR XP held up great on the jumps. The jumps
were actually perfect for the Polaris’
because the lips were really long so it wasn’t
bucking us or throwing us into an endo or anything
like that. We could just stay on the gas all
the way up the lip and have a nice level flight
for as long as the distance of the jump,”
said Baron, who looked like he was having a
lot of fun skying out the RZR.
