Kawasaki Brute Force 750 4x4 FI Utility ATV Test Ride Review

2014 Kawasaki Teryx 800 Test Drive Review
::Continued::

2014 Kawasaki Teryx 800
Three tone bucket seats

Kawasaki used an all-new form-fitting high-back bucket seat design that is much more comfortable and has a quick detach seat bases for easy maintenance. The Kawasaki Teryx 800 LE model comes standard with three-tone color matched seats that extends the Teryx LE model’s customized look. The seats can be adjusted forward or backward by loosening four bolts that are located under the seat base. Anti-cinch seat belts were also applied to the new Kawasaki Teryx 800 for a comfortable ride.

The automotive style doors are easy to use and give you a more secure feeling while seated in the cab. We were glad to see they added doors to the 2014 Kawasaki Teryx 800, as we have enjoyed using them on the Kawasaki Teryx 4 750.

The heavy metal cargo bed was replaced with an lightweight yet durable 28” x 43” tilting cargo bed made out of a special plastic like material called no brake polypropylene, which originally was designed for use in steering wheels due its shatterproof nature. We were very glad to see this change, because in the past the cargo bed was very heavy. On our Kawasaki Teryx 750 project build, one of the first things we replaced was the bed by using a Lonestar Bed Delete that shaved off a near 80 lbs! With the new composite bed it is now lighter weight and is rated at 600lbs cargo capacity; 100lbs more than the previous Kawasaki Teryx 750.

The lightweight tilting cargo bed features molded in divider slots & the tail gate can be removed with no tools required

The durable tilting cargo bed features four tie down points and it has molded in slots for dividers. The automotive style tailgate was designed so that it can be detached quickly without any tools by rotating it 45 degrees. The cargo bed also has 1x1 inch side rails for additional tie down mounts and accessories.

We made a stop in the Historic town of Bramwell, WV where the Hatfield McCoy Pocahontas Trail head is located

There are two 12V outlets located on the 2014 Kawasaki Teryx 800. One is located up front that can be used to charge a cell phone or GPS unit and the other is located in the rear and can work great for powered cooler, sprayer or other accessories. Kawasaki also decided to angle the digital dash for so that the driver could read it easier. The multi-function digital meter shows current speed, fuel gauge, time, odometer, dual trip meter and parking-brake indicator.

There are many historical sights on Hatfield McCoy Trail system including this deteriorating suspension bridge

Overall, we thoroughly enjoyed driving the all-new 2014 Kawasaki Teryx 800 SxS at the Hatfield McCoy Trail System. With over 2,000 miles of arguably the best trails in the world, Kawasaki nailed it on the head by allowing the media to test the new Teryx SxS unit at this epic location. With its combination of power and great handling, we would highly recommend giving the 2014 Kawasaki Teryx 800 a closer look for your next off-road adventure!
