2015 Arctic Cat XR 500, 550, & 700 Review
2015 Arctic Cat XR 550 & XR 700 Review
::Continued::

The high ground clearance enabled us to get over rocks and boulders with ease and rutted terrain was no problem.

With 11 inches of ground clearance, we had no troubles riding over big rocks on the trail

The only disadvantage to the added height of the machine is that it makes it a little more tippy when riding more aggressively, and it has a rather wide turning radius, but for normal work or trail applications the Arctic Cat XR utility does the job.

The gauge cluster was something that we really liked on the 2015 Arctic Cat XR. It was easy to read and is mounted slightly below the dash line, which helps to shade it and makes it easier to read in sunny conditions. We also like the LED headlight accents that give the XR models a sportier look, and the Arctic Cat XR models come with different combinations of headlight options as well.

The handling of the Arctic Cat XR utility ATV is good and the variable assist electronic power steering definitely helps. The variable assist EPS provides the appropriate amount of assist at any speed and the torque sensor continuously monitors the driver and terrain inputs for even and consistent control. The EPS also helps to reduce rider fatigue to make long trips more enjoyable, and we always highly suggest spending the extra money for the EPS models if you plan on spending more than an hour of seat time on an ATV on a regular basis because it does make a big difference.

The Arctic Cat XR is offered in both a non-EPS and EPS versions. As with almost all off-road vehicles, we highly suggest spending the extra money for the EPS if you are going to spend a good amount time behind the handlebars

Pricing for the 2015 Arctic Cat XR ranges from $7799.00 to $11,199.00, depending on which model you choose. There are several colors available for the XR, including the original Arctic Cat green, red blue black and a special camo edition on the XR 500 and 700 XT models.

After riding both the 2015 Arctic Cat 500 and 700 XR, we feel that the XR line are the best designed ATV’s Arctic Cat has ever produced. Overall these are very well-built, comfortable ATV’s and we love Arctic Cat’s user friendly approach to maintenance and the ease of use these vehicles provide.
