WORCS - Round 6 - Washougal
MX - Amateur ATV Race Report
::Continued::
Fuller #45 who came across the
finish in second place came into the race wanting
to win but would end up settling for second
place, “on a track that was brutal and
had ridiculous amounts of dust. As much as I
wanted to be on the one, I was happy to see
Chase get his first Pro Am win. We will be back
for redemption at Glen Helen. Thanks to Lenny
and Loren Duncan at Duncan Racing, I wouldn’t
be here without them,” stated Fuller.
Collins Webster #39 would round
out the top three. The weekend was more than
frustrating for Webster, he broke an axle on
the first lap of Production A, had mechanical
issues during Open A and then when it came time
to race Pro Am, all the bugs were worked out.
“Throughout the race I was
pressured by Johnson a few times but he couldn’t
make the pass. Thomas and Fuller had a great
race and I had nothing for them, so I ended
up settling for third place overall” Webster
stated after the race.
Keith Johnson #1P who is sitting
third in Pro Am points also commented on the
track difficulty, “My Maxxis, LMR, Honda
was working great, I didn’t get the start
I needed on the tough, dusty Washougal track.
I managed to work my way toward the front after
a bad start, but ran out of time to catch the
leaders. I am looking forward to charging hard
in the last three rounds.”
Cody Mitchell #83 would round
out the last of the top five positions. Sixteen
points separates the top three Pro Am championship
contenders.
