Round #4 - Cahuilla Creek MX
Anza, CA- All three of the top finishers from the Pro-Am ATV Class had their share of difficulties over the course of the weekend.

The flag dropped for the Production A Class Saturday morning with D.J. Noerr # 842 grabbing the holeshot. The next line after Production A to take off was Women's A, # 279 Raustyn Hurst would edge out Julie Russell # 1W for the holeshot and the early lead. Russell charged hard and took over the lead on the 3rd lap. She would have the fastest lap in her class as well as a minute and a half lead over 2nd place. She would hold the first position taking the checkered flag in Women's A! Garrin Fuller would overtake Noerr and maintain his position throughout the race to take the win.

Open A had a lot of names you usually see in Production A, not to mention that the top three finishers in Pro-AM ended up racing all three A races over the course of the weekend (Production A, Open A and Pro-AM). The gate dropped on Open A, and Cole Fite # 177 took the holeshot with Garrin Fuller # 45 on his back bumper along with the rest of the field. Garrin Fuller quickly got around Fite # 177 and was putting some serious time on 2nd place.

Collins Webster # 39
Collins Webster made his way thew the pro rock section on his Can-Am DS450ATV
It seemed as though he was going to easily walk away with the win as he continued to pull away from the pack, then all of a sudden the crowd watched as he crashed going into a turn on the motocross track. After sitting on the side of the track for some time, he continued the rest of his lap, before pulling off with mechanical issues. This would move Keith Johnson (# 312) into 1st and Collins Webster into 2nd. When the leaders came around for the 3rd lap, Webster crashed in the same exact corner as Fuller. Both fortunately walked away from their crashes unscathed.

H & M’s Chase Thomas # 622
Keith Johnson
H & M’s Chase Thomas # 622 had a pair of 4th places in Production A and Pro-Am
Keith Johnson took third in Pro-Am aboard his Honda TRX450R and 1st in Open A

With two of the top contenders out of the race due to crashes, Johnson # 312 was left with Mitchell # 83, and Daniel Grodski # 800 in 2nd and 3rd place respectively. Coming around for the last few turns on the motocross track Mitchell was right on Johnson’s grab bar. They came to the checkered flag Johnson # 312 first, Mitchell # 83 second, and Grodski # 800 third. The win for Keith Johnson was special as it was the last time the # 312 will ever be ran at a W.O.R.C.S. race in memory of his younger brother Casey Johnson.
