Lake Havasu, AZ - Collins Webster
has been on the podium for every round of the 2011
WORCS Pro-AM season so far. In fact, he has either
been on the top of the podium or just one step down
in second. At WORCS round 3 in Havasu Arizona, Webster
put himself at the top of the box one again to earn
his second victory of the young season.

#842
D.J. Noerr took the Pro-Am Holeshot on his
Yamaha YFZ450 ATV |
Webster’s win did not come easily, as he
had to fight his way to the front early on and
then hold off charges from Javier Robles and Cody
Mitchell on the fun, but brutally tough Havasu
course of rolling sand whoops.

"The
dead engine start is unpredictable for any
racer as my teammate, Bryce Peart, had a
great 4th position start, while I started
middle of the pack. By the 5th lap I gained
the lead. On the 8th lap I lost the lead
to Javier
Robles. I then,
regained the lead on the 9th lap after a
quick fuel and water pit stop. The short
break was just enough for me to catch my
second wind to finish the race. After my
pit stop I was able to get a minute lead,
however I did loose some time as my nerfbars
fell off! Despite the mishap, finishing
the race with a 41 second lead felt great
for my Can-Am Team and I!", said Collins
Webster
|
In the end, Webster posted the fastest Pro-Am
lap of the day with a 6:45.362 aboard his Can-Am
and finished almost 30 seconds in front of Robles
in second place with Mitchell scoring third place
honors.

Keith Johnson held the early lead, but in
the end , he just missed the podium with
a 4th place finish |
#58 Javier Robles Jr. Battled Collins Webster
several times for the lead, but finished
in the runners-up spot |
Keith Johnson finished fourth followed by Zachary
Grodski in fifth, Bryce Peart sixth, Chase Thomas
seventh, Kyle McDaniel eighth, Barry Bennett ninth,
and Daniel Grodski rounding out the top ten.
“This was a fun race,” said Webster
on the podium. “I felt good all day and
just kept a strong pace and got the win. This
is a tough course, but it’s always fun to
win.”
