Two more local Indiana racers finished next, just off the podium. Todd Demaree recovered from an early incident with a tree to place his Sicc Racing DP Brakes Suzuki in fourth place. Demaree said “I crashed into a tree and it put me pretty far back. I caught up to Bryan the last lap, but I needed another one. Not quite enough time in the race.” Meanwhile, Tyler Bostock from Bedford, Indiana picked up fifth place overall and the A ATV class victory aboard his Maxxis Moto-Xperts Pro Armor Honda. “It worked great today,” said Bostock. “I’d like to thank Mom, Dad, and Humphrey Racing for my transportation to the nationals. I had a really good time.”

It was an exciting and interesting race for round one of the OMA Nationals series in Medora, Indiana. Some fast racers put on a good show and had a great time on a beautiful day in southern Indiana. Bill Gusse and his OMA Nationals team created another race course that tested and entertained racers and spectators alike. Unfortunately for reining champion Kyle Martin a chain malfunction ended the day early for his Moose Racing Maxxis Honda. According to Martin “the track was good and it was looking like it was going to be pretty fun. I was going to have a chore ahead of me, but I was going to be after it. But it didn’t happen.” That, as they say, is racing. The season opener had a mix of opportunity and frustration for this group of determined racers and it will only get better throughout the ten race series. This is off road racing.
