Team Southside Polaris / Mystik Lubricants / Goldspeed’s Cody Paolella was on the box for his first time of his Pro career in the NEATV with a third place ride after going 3-2 and battling hard all day. Paolella came off the line in the first Pro moto with a fourth place spot and was able to work his way up into third place before the moto ended.

Moto two for the Mom and Dad supported racer was slightly better however with a better holeshot than the first moto coming out in third place. Paolella from there was hard charging after Hickson who was riding in first place position when his motor failed, leaving Paolella with the lead. Paolella however was soon under fire as Travis Moore was hot on his heels coming into a downhill whoop section where at the end is a ninety degree corner where Moore was able to stick a wheel in and take over the position. Nevertheless, Paolella stayed smart the rest of the moto to finish in second place securing a third overall spot on the podium for himself.

The Pro-Am motos were next up on the gate and with twelve entries; the competition was slightly increased over the Pro class events.

DRT Motorsports / FOX / DASA’s Preston Young was at it again in the Pro-Am division, this time going 1-1 on the day to make a statement of intent for this seasons expectations. Young came off the line with a commanding holeshot for Pro-Am moto one and went about the rest of the moto virtually uncontested from other racers, his only competition was the track as some sections were a dusty slippery kind, and others were muddy so he had to stay on his toes. Young completed the moto in first place, setting himself up for another podium finish.

DRT / DASA / MAXXIS’ Young was on the charge again for the second Pro-Am moto with another big holeshot and lead. Young stayed on the gas for the entire moto and never let anyone get to within striking distance for the rest of the six laps. Young came away from the Pro-Am class going 1-1 and sealing the deal for himself for the second time on the top of the box in one day. Young is chasing his second Pro-Am championship in a row and is looking poised for a successful season.
