Cuddlebackville, NY (9/28/2012) – Round 5 of the 2012 North East Extreme Dirt Track series would make its way back to Oakland Valley Speedway where round 2 was held. The weather would be good for the racing on Saturday as it had rained the night before and set the track up nice. Colder temps were moving into the area as the fall weather is slowly approaching the North East. The cold temps wouldn’t slow down the fast paced action of these racers and would see #338 Hellbound Racing’s Brian Ace taking the win in both the Pro & Pro-Am classes and putting the wrap on both of those championships as well.

In the Pro class it would see the #92 of Houghton Construction’s Michael Houghton put his Baldwin Honda 450R ATV up front early to take the Holeshot and the lead. Houghton would then soon come under fire from the #338 of Brian Ace. Ace would put his Hellbound Racing Honda TRX450R sideways around a few of the super-tight corners of Oakland Valley and come out the better of the two to make a pass on Houghton earlier in the race. Ace would then slide his way around the track and out onto the banked oval as the remaining laps ticked away and went on to take the win.

“My quad was running great and I was able to come out here and make a few passes and stay clean for the rest of the race after I took the lead. These guys were running great tonight and luckily I got out front and held them off. I wrapped up the Pro and Pro-Am championships tonight with these wins and I’m really happy for that!,” said a happy Ace. Ace has one more race to go for the 2012 season and will be sure to be hopeful for another win with a clean conscious heading into Batavia for the final race of the year.

#92 Baldwin Motorsports’ Michael Houghton would have a great showing in the Pro class for round 5 as he would come off with a great holeshot and then lead for nearly half the race.
