Gosport, IN (9/23/2012) –The 2012 Blingstar AMA MAXC ATV Racing Series Round 8 Rally in the Valley was hosted in Gosport, Indiana located about an hour southwest of Indianapolis, Indiana. Once again, several of the top GNCC XC1 Pro ATV Racers were in attendance including Adam McGill and Taylor Kiser to do battle at the Blingstar AMA MAXC ATV Race Series.
With storms rolling in Friday night it was looking like MAXC Round 8 would without a doubt be a muddy race, but as luck would have it, the sun came out early Saturday morning and dried up most of the track making for near perfect racing conditions.
MAXC Round 8 would take place a new venue to the series that was located just outside of Gosport, IN. The course featured 100% virgin trails that have never been ridden on before. The 10 mile course featured several long hill climbs, open field sections, and through several deep and muddy creek crossings.

#229 Hayden Helmic edged out #2 Adam McGill to take the AA Class Holeshot |
Lonestar’s Adam McGill had a great start despite getting edged out on the Holeshot by #999 Hayden Helmic. Blingstar’s Kevin Cunningham and Balance Racing’s Taylor Kiser followed closely in behind McGill. After grabbing the lead, McGill was able to put a good distance between him the rest of the pack. McGill would finish three minutes ahead of second place Kevin Cunningham.

“The first lap was extremely tight, and we got hooked up with Taylor (Kiser) and we were ripping pretty good until his bike started smoking real bad. I pulled up beside him and asked him what was going on, and he said the motor let you. I pretty much rode by myself all day after that” said ITP’s Adam McGill.
