MAIN RACE
REPORT |
In the Pro Lites class, Daryl Rath grabbed the
holeshot, but would fall back to third, leaving
Michael Coburn and Brad Riley to battle it out
for the number one spot once again. Michael Coburn
put on a hard charge and ran close with Riley
for the first half of the race, and then he took
a different option lane that allowed him to take
over the lead.

#27 Brad
Riley & #67 Daryl Rath battled for
the Holeshot with Daryl taking the inside
line while Riley took the outside option
lane

Coburn held his lead for several laps before
crossing the finish line to take the Pro Lites
win. “It was definitely nice to be racing
at my home track. I have to thank all of my family
and friends and everyone who helped put this event
together and make it a success. It was a lot of
hard work, but it was certainly worth it,”
said Coburn.

Brad Riley held off #038 Michael Coburn
for most of the race, but in the end Coburn
made the pass for the lead to take the win,
but Riley's 2nd Place finish was more than
enough to wrap-up the Pro Lites Championship
with 156 points, which is 34 points more
than Coburn in second place with 122 |
Brad Riley would hang close with Coburn all the
way to the finish line, but he was not able to
regain his lead and would have to settle for second
place. “I am still having some trouble with
my knee after my crash, so I’m not quite
back to 100%, but I’m pretty happy with
how everything went this weekend,” stated
Riley.
Daryl Rath, who won the Pro Lites qualifier,
was looking good as he came off the line in a
solid third and held his position all the way
to the checkered flag. “It’s been
a while since I’ve come out to a TT race
and I really had a lot of fun this weekend. It
felt great to get back out on the track and I’m
hoping I can also make it to the final round,”
said Rath.

#67
Daryl Rath made his return to the Extreme
Dirt Track series for the first time since
2006 when he finished the year 3rd in Pro-Am
Unlimited & 5th in the Pro Class, and
despite several years away from the series,
he didn't appear to lose any speed as he
held off #61 Nick Camilli to claim the final
spot on the Podium in the Pro Lites Class |
Nick Camilli looked strong as he would hang on
for a fourth place finish, while Rich Schoeberl
rounded out the top five in the Pro Lites class
