New Berlin, NY (7/14/2012) –
Yamaha’s Chad Wienen claimed his second straight
overall win at Unadilla’s round eight of the
2012 AMA ATV Motocross Championships, where 2010
Pro ATV MX Champion, Josh Creamer, made his return
and made a statement as he took second overall,
while defending champion, Can-Am’s John Natalie,
Jr., finished in a solid third overall.
Track conditions were excellent at Unadilla.
The track was fast and offered plenty of opportunity
to pass, which led to some intense battles. The
weather was warm and humid, but that didn’t
stop Chad Wienen from extending his points lead.

Chad Wienen quickly moved into the second
spot behind Creamer

Yamaha’s Chad Wienen took the ATVriders.com
fastest qualifier award and was looking strong
off the start. Wienen was in second, right behind
Creamer and looked as if he were pacing himself
a bit. Wienen stayed close to Creamer for the
entire moto, but never closed in to make a move
and took second at the checkered flag. “Everything
was working great for me out there. Josh was riding
really good. My hat is off to him. It should be
good racing for moto two,” said Wienen.

For moto two, Chad Wienen meant business. Wienen
grabbed the moto two holeshot and led from start
to finish. Wienen was able to start pulling away
from the rest of the pack after just a couple
of laps and finished by over four seconds ahead
of second place, giving him the overall win and
extending his pro points lead.
“That holeshot really helped out for the
second moto. It was a good race for me. I had
a good time this weekend. The fans were great
and it was awesome to hear everyone cheering as
we went by. I want to thank all of my sponsors
for all of their support and I hope to give them
a championship in return for all of their hard
work,” said Wienen.
2010 AMA ATV MX Pro Champion, Josh Creamer, made
his return to the series for this round. The Can-Am/BCS
Performance racer had said earlier that he wanted
to make a statement and prove that he can still
run with the best of them, and he did just that.
Creamer took fourth in qualifiers and followed
it up by grabbing the moto one holeshot. Creamer
had plenty of company off the start, in the way
of Chad Wienen, but Creamer stayed focused and
held the lead from start to finish, taking the
moto one win.

“It was an awesome race! BCS Performance
did a great job on the quad. I got the holeshot
and checked out from there. I didn’t get
tired and I just stayed focused. Now I have to
go out there and do it again for moto two,”
said Creamer after his moto one win.
