New
Berlin, NY (8/2/2011)
– With nine of the eleven races in the books
for the 2011 ATV MX season, a few of the riders
have already achieved what they have set out to
accomplish. Win early and possibly try their hand
in other classes to test the waters for the 2012
season. With the economy rearing its ugly head
and the price of fuel capping the $4.00 mark at
times during the season this 2011 season has added
more challenges to racers and families other than
just winning. Just getting to the races has kept
some of the riders from chasing their goal of
winning a national championship.

Tyler
Hamrick takes the Holeshot in the Open A
class aboard his Honda TRX450R ATV
|
In the 450 A class, Dalton Millican has had his
hands full for the season with an eager Tyler
Hamrick nipping at his heals. As long as Dalton
has good finishes in this class his 4 wins and
4 second place finishes should keep his ATV in
the winners circle after Dirt Days at Loretta
Lynn’s Dude Ranch next month. In 450 B Andy
Magyan has been taking control of this division.
Alan Molony took an early points lead, but has
left the class after competing in only five rounds
this year. Finishing out the 450 classes is 450
C with Ries Parvin taking command with his cow
themed Honda TRX450R taking 6 wins and a seventy
point lead over second place rider Luke Shepherd.

Parts
Plus' Dalton Millican holds down the points
lead in 450 A Class |
Ross
Medlin has not finished outside top three
the whole season in the Open B class |
There are quite a few tight races still being
fought out in the Open classes with the exception
of one. Open B leader Ross Medlin has five wins
and two second place finishes with a pretty good
points lead over Thomas McArn. McArn fought hard
for the season taking two wins but just couldn’t
match the wins of Medlin.

#17
Joe Wimsatt has won every race but one that
he has attended |
The 4 Stroke classes are also pretty tight still
in the A and B divisions but 4 Stroke C is a different
story. Joey Wimsatt has taken control of 4 Stroke
C with 6 wins over early points leader Jacob Kaiser.
Kaiser has not attended the last 4 rounds to
defend his title chances though. This particular
class has a very sparse attendance with not many
riders making more than a few rounds.
