Perfect weather was on tap for round two of the
AMA ATV Motocross Championships which were held
at Ballance MotoX, a favorite of many racers and
it was obvious that Josh Creamer had the track
dialed in as he was looking incredibly smooth
and comfortable in practice, which carried over
to Sunday’s race.

Yoshimura's
#9 Josh Creamer pressured #13 John Natalie
jr for the win in Moto One, but had to settle
for a close 2nd |
Rockstar Makita Suzuki’s Josh Creamer shot
off the line in second place in moto one right
behind John Natalie. After a brief battle with
Chad Wienen, Creamer fell back to third, but half
way through moto one, Creamer was able to regain
his second place position and gave Natalie a fight
to the finish. Unfortunately, Creamer was not
able to take over the lead and had to settle for
second place in moto one.
“Natalie got by me in the moto one holeshot,
but I made sure that didn’t happen in moto
two,” said Creamer in regards to his moto
two holeshot. Creamer took the moto two holeshot,
but he had plenty of company with Joe Byrd and
John Natalie right behind him. Cream and Byrd
battled hard and Byrd did manage to slip by him
for a few laps; however, Creamer wasn’t
going to give up. Creamer kept at it and soon
got back by the number seven Honda of Byrd and
held his lead all the way to the checkered flag.
Creamer’s 2-1 gave him his first overall
win of the year.

“I just tried to ride a good, smart race
and everything worked out great for me this weekend.
I couldn’t be happier. We all work really
hard and we have a really awesome team and I couldn’t
be happier,” stated Creamer from the top
of the podium.
