Elkland, PA -Round number three of the AMA ATV Harescramble series would find itself at Miles Mountain MX for the second year in a row as the facility played host to one of the most popular series in the country. With sunny skies and temperatures in the high 80's, Saturdays racing would be held in almost perfect conditions albeit on the warm side for June in the mountains!

A 12 mile course awaited the racers that would offer challenges from a portion of the MX track to rocks and slick hill climbs as well as a fan favorite creek jump to separate those who like to fly from their ground hugging counterparts!

Separated into three races, the day would first see the future of our sport take the line as the Youth ATV racing classes mounted their charge on the Pennsylvania countryside. With the starts underway, 54 Youth entries would set out to tackle the course providing some of the best Youth cross-country racing found anywhere.

Row after row would take off as the starts were underway as the sound of racing filled the air. Fans quickly found their favorite spot to watch the action as the riders filtered in for the completion of the first lap with the uphill double and the creek jump being the two hotspots of the day.

The one and half hour race would fly by as the end neared and the white flag came out signaling one lap to go. Overall race leader Zac Zakowski was being hunted down by Landon Wolf who would overtake Zakowski on the final lap to claim the overall win. Zakowski would cross the checkered flag in second followed by Cody Hill who finished third rounding out the morning overall.

"This was a great course and a fun race! This was my first race with this series and it was a blast. I did not get a great start but managed to move from sixth to second at the creek jump near the end of the first lap. My left grip came loose right after that and I just had to settle into my own pace and keep pushing. The course was long enough to help keep it from getting tore up but had plenty of challenging sections and the fields were plenty rough. Overall I am happy to take third today!," said Cody Hill.
