it is when you leave the line and get to the corner and come out ahead of everyone else..........then you got the holeshot....or something like that more or less

getting the holeshot is getting the best start. Simple as that.

Getting a holeshot is when u leave the line and get out to first, thats when u get the holeshot, get it?

Well acordding to the track I race at.The person that gets the holeshot is the one the gets to a white line first.Right before U enter the first turn.Even though I came out of the first turn in 1st I didn't get the holeshot because another bike got to the line first.
pretty stupid huh!
