what types of atv races are there and what is the difference such as what you do in each
mx?
tt?
crosscountry?
flat track?
MX racing is of course jumping and wrecking,,,normally 5 laps maybe 2 or 3 motos per race day.
TT and flat track are about the same thing,,requires,,different tires, sway bar,,lowering of the quad,,not cheap to race TT. Small rolling jumps if any,,very fast racing,,looks like fun.
Cross country can be done on a stock bike pretty much,,races normally last about 2 hours or longer. Plan on getting muddy, wore out, dusty, wet and big hill climbs.

TT does not stand for time trial. It stands for tourist trophy. Dont know why it stands for that but that is what it is. TT they turn in both directions. Flattrack is usually an oval type race.
I thought it stood fer "totally tubular" man....:D

Yes I am serious. It is in any rule book for ATVs that race in the AMA or ATVA. I race the GNC circuit and thats what I was told by all of the Pro and Pro-Am riders.
