Can you race a sx505 in a local district AMA series?

I'm buying a Ktm sx in 2 days.Wondering if I can race the 505 in a AMA district race? or should I go with the 450 because of this issue?

most district races are open class. I run a 505 with no problems. You couldn't run it in the national classes that have a cc limit.

there would still be plenty of national classes for you though, they have a lot of classes the 505 would run in,

open a, b, c

Fourstroke a, b, c,

collegeboy (depending on age) those age classes

Just couldnt run 450 a, b, c,
