50 Mongoose troubles

I have gotten our 2005 50cc (2 srtk) Mongoose out of the shed. It really hasn't been used the last two seasons & I figured I would get it out, clean it up & sell it. It runs, it will not idle. It does rev, but idle to 1/4 throttle, it will not run right, full throttle no problem. I have put clean good fuel in it as well. Any thoughts???

thought someone might say that. whole carb or just drop the bowl, etc.?

Whole carb. Carb cleaner and an air comp.

you guys are the bearer of bad news, but I am not surprised the whole carb would have to be cleaned, thanks.

As mentioned by TTDUNER, you really, and I mean REALLY need to use a air compressor to blow that carb out. ;)

It's really not that bad. If you need it you can find a carb parts breakdown for it on the web that will help you feel better about putting it back together. Pull up to a tire shop or service station and ask to use thier air with a blow noz. Slip the man a couple of bucks and you should be good. Strip it down , clean it, and put it back on. Tinkering is fun.:D
