This week, I decieded to go big. At Bluff Creek on the MX track, there is a 65ft double (tabletop). Anyways ever since the making of the track, the left side of the ruts has been completely rutted out by dirt bikes. Well the jump throws quads completely screwed up. So no quads could clear this jump. Then outt of the blue I see a 300 clear it with no problem. I catch up to the guy and get the info on how to clear it. Seeing that the 300's wheelbase is closer, the ruts didnt affect the jump if you run to the right alittle. To make a long story short of many hours of trying to clear it, I finally cleared the old girl and made all the 400's and raptors drool. HAHHA. I can't believe how fun it is to hit a big 65 footer. The air is unbelieveable. I never thought a 300 would handle it. After a few jumps of easy clearing, I started to pull off the saran wraps and almost heelclickers. (dont think my body streches in that way.) I gotta get some pics of that jump its great! Can't wait to head back out. :D

I still find that hard to believe. This jump here is close to 70 ft and I have to hit it 3rd gear pinned to get over it. There has only been like 4 quads clear it in sense the track has been there and no 300 would have a chance in **** unless it has lots and lots of mods.

a hey 300ex man, I go to bussey a lot but i'm not getting which jump you are talking about? Is it the one right by where you enter the track or right after the whoops where you go through the berm and hit this jump. I can clear both of them with ease.

This was the pre rebuild track.. Now all quads clear it with ease unfortuantly.. makes me look less cool :devil

yea nausty, look at the dates of his original post, that track might have been rebuilt since he was talking about this, it is almost a year old topic

a 300 could jump almost anything a 400 can if it has the supspension. But a 300 has to have a way bigger run at a jump than a 400 does.

i noticed when riding my bros 400 it took a lot less speed to get the same air, i think it had something to do with the front suspension. But now that i have 400ex front shocks a arms and tie rods i can hint jumps just as big. But too make my front end tougher i will half to make a different mount than using the ol dura blue lowering, which is now bent.
