People really don't lift these vehilces too often because they have independant suspension up front (A arms) and it's very costly and hard work.

Is it a body lift? I'm not saying people DON'T lift them , I'm just saying they don't as often as say older Rangers, Jeeps, or full size trucks with straight axles. I don't see many S10s, blazers or jimmys lifted.

why will he be sorry... in my opinion id rather run a body lift on an IFS truck then a suspension lift... a suspension lift puts higher angles on IFS parts therefore putting more stress on them... why spend $750 on a suspension lift and have to pay that much again a year later to fix ur IFS when u can buy an $85 body lift and not have to worry about that...

there is nothing wrong with a body lift if installed correctly, and if an eye is kept on the tightness of the body bolts about every 1000 miles... anyone that tells you there is hasnt been around many offroad rigs... 9 out of 10 have body lifts on them... my whole family has been into offroading and i was practically raised around it... my uncle has always had lifted trucks, my cousin has, and my pop has... i thought for a long time that body lifts were bad until i researched them alot... then i relized they werent as evil as i originally thought... ive run a body lift on my wheeled hard 1987 toyota for 7 months (4,200 miles probably 2,000 of which offroad) and never had a single problem out of mine...

^^ He probably wouldn't like a 3-inch body because he has a Jeep. A 3-inch body lift on a Jeep does look bad, but on trucks and stuff it doesn't look near as bad.

IMO an S series vehicle looks weird with a body lift because of how much the frame hangs below the body stock, looks worse when you do a body lift (IMO). If your gonna do a body lift atleast put those gap guards on also, It makes it look alot cleaner. My friend has a '96 Jimmy w/ a 5" Trailmaster suspension lift, it looks pretty sweet. I'm gonna get some pics of it this weekend and I'll post up.

so for my 92 jimmy what should i get for a lift? i have limited funds, i work at canadian tire..lol. I'd just like it to look a bit bigger, and good for playing in some mud. I bought some good shocks, so it should have a decent ride and be able to hold up to some abuse. I don't kno if putting 31's on it is worth it or if i should make fit 33's. How much lift do u tihnk i need for these tires?
