2008 GNCC Racing - Round #8 "Yadkin Valley Stomp" ATV Race Coverage"

When I saw the series schedule for 2008, I had high hopes of this round being one of the best and boy was I wrong Not that anyone besides mother nature had anything to do with it, but the dust was off the chain! Friday evening had the weather man calling for possible storms and while I had my fingers crossed, it was to no avail as friday drew to a close and the dust was making it's presence known well in advance.

Friday afternoons are usually filled with good times and some wrench work as teams and riders get last minute items squared away.

Friday crept away and saturday morning was upon us in no time, and the rain that had been forcast went around the region as it had been doing for several months according to locals.

The Youth racers would be first to fire off the line and do battle as Joshua Merritt hammers his Cobra through the turn, grabbing the holeshot in Supermini 13-15

90 Mod is a super competitive class and stocked with talent that will in just a few short years be tearing up the morning race aboard much larger machines
