    Ironman GNCC YOUTH Coverage

For the first time in over 10 years, youth racers were entered into the GNCC series. The young riders brought alot of attention to themselves and the sport and on behalf of the riders, the families and the sport itself, i would like to offer our deepest thanks to Racer Productions.

The overall winner would be none other then Walker Fowler aboard his Hetricks kasea 90. Walker did an excellent job of showing he has what it takes to be the best! He rode a great race and we offer him our congradulations for being the winner of the Ironman GNCC race!

Finishing second overall and taking the win in 90 Limited Production was EXRiders own Brandon Boso! Brandon was also the winner of the new Kasea 90!

Brandon rode his Polaris to the front but never could get close enough to pressure Fowler. On a scheduled pit stop, his quad ran out of gas a 100 yards short of the pit and cost him valuable time.

In any event he deserved his class win and will be a great racer to watch propel this sport in the future.

Kyle Riley Teter worked his way from almost dead last on the start to claim 3rd overall and 2nd in limited production. Kyle rode to within 15 seconds of catching Boso but at the end he would come up just short.

Kyle was all smilies as he took his trophy and memories that will last a life time away from this excellent race!

Cody Hill made the trip and was able to claim 5th overall and 2nd in 90 Youth Production. The dead engine start caused him and other honda 90 riders a big disadvantage but he rode smart and hard to work his way thru 2 rows of his class, and was able to get past the 90 Limited class to take home wood.

Exhausted, cold and covered in mud, Cody looks at his friends on the Podium immediatley after the race. Something tells me the determination in this kids eye's will keep him up front

EXRiders.com would like to offer our gratitude to the following for supporting our efforts to give the lucky winner a new 2004 Kasea 90 Skyhawk.

The membership that generously donated what it could. You guys are what makes this site #1. I thank you for your vision of what we can do for this sport and the riders of tomarrow.

The companies that also wanted to be part of this. C & D Racing, Burgard Cycle, The Quadshop, Derisi Suspension, Distinctive Chrome, Cario Stack, GT Thunder, Klotz, Outlaw Racing. Hetrick Racing and more that will be named as soon as we can get a full listing.

You guys truly are the sports backbone and I thank you. Several of these companies showed they are willing to support youth riders in the GNCC series and I suggest we all pull together to show Racer Productions how strongly we feel for the future of our sport.

Again, I cant begin to express how thankfull I am for your generosity, caring and support.

GT Thunders "Laz" chats with Cody Hill before the start. GT Thunder installed a new piston in Cody's engine the day before the race which Cody felt gave him more power to help work his way thru the field.

About 10 minutes before the race started, a downpour started that lasted the entire hour of the race!

Chris Borich was up early and on the track for the 8:30 am start. It was really exciting for the kids to see the pro riders watching them! Riders like Chris Borich are a role model for these kids and I would like to thank him for being out there in the rain to show his support!

90 cc Limited production was on the front row and ready to get started. Riders had different ways of getting thier quads fired for the dead engine start.

The green flag waved and it was this rider on a LT80 getting a great start. The non-electric start quads were still on the line at this point.
